Beat the crowds - helicopter in to sporting events

Sometimes getting to and away from your favourite sporting event can take the shine of what was otherwise a great day. Stuck in a traffic jam on the A40 after the Gold Cup might make you feel like a loser, even if all your horses came in as winners!

All the big sporting events cater for helicopter traffic, and it can often even give you an advantage in bypassing queues at the turnstiles.  Some examples include:

  • British Grand Prix - staying at Silverstone for 2010 - book early!
  • Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival Meeting
  • Moto GP at Silverstone for the first time in 2010
  • Cheltenham Gold Cup and other major horse racing events
  • Cowes Week
  • Open Golf at Turnberry and the Women's Open at Lytham St Annes
  • Rugby and Football Internationals and major fixtures

The extra cost on top of your admission tickets could be quite modest, particularly if you share the cost with some friends.

Please note that bookings for the big sporting events tend to come in well in advance, and we often need to book “slots” just like at Heathrow, so please book as early as you can to ensure availability.
