The Robinson R22 has become established as the dominant helicopter for training purposes and personal transportation over short distances.  More than 3,600 of these aircraft have been built over nearly 20 years.  Cruise speed is typically around 90mph.  Accommodation is strictly for two, and is best described as "cosy"!
