Holiday in Style in Britain!

Media reports suggest that economic concerns and the poor exchange rate against the Euro are making more people consider a UK holiday rather than jumping on a plane for short breaks and holidays. One thing that puts many people off a UK break is the traffic congestion, particularly in popular areas such as the South West. With a helicopter however, you can get over that - literally - reaching Devon and Cornwall in 90 minutes or less from our base in Bedfordshire.
Last weekend, we flew down to Burgh Island - a fantastic Art Deco hotel along the coast from Salcombe, and featured in the TV version of the Agatha Christie story "Evil Under The Sun". It is a fabulous location for an adult holiday - whether that is a short break, honeymoon or other special occasion, and has the added benefit of two helipads. You choose from suites and rooms named after famous guests and personalities from the 1920's including Amy Johnson, the pioneering female aviator, and R J Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire. Most rooms look out over the sea, and all are frunished beautifully in period style. You dress for dinner each night, or can relax in the 14th century "Pilchard Inn" on the seafront.
A great place to go, which we can recommend as paying guests. If you travel there by helicopter, avoiding the 5 hour or so car journey from the London area, it makes a weekend break even more inviting! Contact us for a quotation if you'd like to give it a try.
